Raff
Angus prides itself as being a totally family
run operation.
Overall management is the responsibility of
Andrew Raff who since a young age has had a
passion for animals. As well as all the
day-to-day farm work, the weighing and tagging
of all new born calves and heat detecting for AI
or ET Andrew does all the recording and record
keeping, he knows every cow in the herd and can
tell you their breeding without referring to any
records.
His wife Anna is a qualified Vet and as well as
providing great support to Andrew she does all
the artificial insemination and pregnancy
testing, Anna is also responsible for keeping
the financial records.
Andrew and Anna have three young children,
Harry, Charlie and Georgina.
Founder David Raff and his wife Jill are still
actively involved and provide support for Andrew
and Anna and their family.
We believe that the success of Raff Angus over
such a long period is largely due to the fact
that in its 43 years its owners have been
totally involved in all aspects of its operation
with little outside labour employed.
For the entire period almost 100% of the family
income has come from Angus cattle.
“Mundibulanga” is a 2,155 hectare property in
the heart of some of the countries leading bull
breeding enterprises and feedlots. Located just
8 kilometres off the Warrego Highway south of
Drillham between Miles and Roma, Australia’s
largest beef cattle selling centre.
“Mundibulanga” consists mainly of Brigalow Belah
country running onto timbered ridges.
