FORRES BURNETTE A22 must still
be considered the greatest Angus cow
we have ever bred as her descendants
still continue to dominate the
Burnette cow family today. She
gained the attention of the
Australian Angus Seedstock Industry
when she became the 1982 National
Heifer Show Champion. That same year
she was named Grand Champion Angus
Female at the Brisbane Royal Show.
In 1983 she joined the club of
“Elite Angus Cows” when she was
awarded the Grand Championship at
Brisbane for the second consecutive
year. Her first natural calf,
Burnette C60, was National Heifer
Show Champion in 1985 then continued
on to claim Grand Champion Angus
Female at the Brisbane Royal Show. A
son of A22 named Forres
Fieldmarshall F93 was Grand Champion
Angus Bull also at the Brisbane
Royal in 1989 with a brother to him,
Emperor E9, being sold for export to
New Zealand for stud duties.
Our current close direct descendant
of this breed legend, Raff Ultimate
U27, is our record selling and
successful sire who was used for
several seasons before being sold
for $30,000.
